On Sunday, July 12th, he was involved in a dirt bike accident in Holland, Ohio. He has a bruise the size of a quarter on his belly where he hit the handle bar, but has extensive internal damage including a lacerated liver, major nicks on his bile ducts, a hole on one artery (this has stopped bleeding, but can start again). The family has been told this will be an issue for the rest of his life.

Surgeries have included draining the bile and blood from his stomach. Stints were put in to redirect his bile to drain properly. Two days later, his stomach was drained again and one stint was removed and a longer one inserted. He is on a respirator because his lungs were (are?) collapsing. In too many ways, he seems to be getting worse as time goes on, rather than better.

He has been in three hospitals so far. As of yesterday, he was to be in the Ann Arbor Pediatric Hospital for one week and then transferred back to St. Vincents in Ohio. This changes almost daily.

I know this is asking a lot, but please pray for the following specific items:
1 - guidance for the doctors treating him,
2 - healing for JJ,
3 - my daughter and her family,
4 - resources including a support group and help with finances - if you have any ideas or suggestions, please call or email me.

One last request, will you forward this to other prayer warriers that have not received this email?
